Download IXAY

Real-time AI screen translation, with two ways to install. Both give you the same app; they differ in how it installs and how it updates.

Install from the Microsoft Store

Recommended

The simplest route. Windows handles the install and keeps it up to date.

Good to know

  • New versions arrive automatically, with nothing to download
  • Installs straight away, with no Windows warning screen in the way

Trade-offs

  • Needs the Microsoft Store app, which ships with Windows
  • Some work and school machines have the Store switched off, which rules this route out
  • New versions reach you only after Microsoft has reviewed them. Microsoft puts that at a few hours usually, and up to 3 business days in some cases

Download the installer directly

A .exe installer for anyone who cannot reach the Store, or would rather not use it.

Good to know

  • No Microsoft Store app needed
  • Installs for your user account only, so no administrator rights are required

Trade-offs

  • The app tells you when a new version is out, but you confirm each update yourself. It does not install one in the background the way the Store does
  • Windows shows a warning screen before it installs. How to get past it is below

What to do if Windows shows a warning screen

This applies to the direct installer only. Installing from the Microsoft Store never shows this screen.

What you will see
After you open the downloaded file, a blue window appears saying Windows protected your PC, offering a single button labelled Don't run.
What to click
Click More info under the message first. A Run anyway button then appears. Click it and the install continues as normal.
Why it appears
Because we have not bought a code signing certificate yet, so Windows cannot tell who published the file. The screen reports an unrecognised publisher; it does not report anything found in the file. Builds on the Microsoft Store carry the Store's own signature, which is why that route is quiet.

Works on Windows 10 version 1809 or later, and Windows 11
